CarbonCore advances GeorgiaSAF development in Bainbridge, Georgia

GeorgiaSAF™ is CarbonCore’s active sustainable aviation fuel development platform for Georgia, with Bainbridge and Decatur County as its first commercial development focus.

CarbonCore Inc. has announced Bainbridge and Decatur County as the focus of development for the first commercial production node within GeorgiaSAF™, its sustainable aviation fuel development platform for Georgia.

The planned two-train development is targeting approximately 20,000 barrels per day at full planned capacity, using sustainably sourced woody biomass and a thermochemical conversion pathway through syngas and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

GeorgiaSAF is designed to connect Georgia’s working forests and communities with its globally significant aviation economy, creating new industrial infrastructure and a substantial long-term market for sustainably sourced woody biomass.

Site assembly and technical diligence are underway as CarbonCore advances the Bainbridge development through the next stages of project development.

01 / From resource to market

A connected
commercial system.

The platform brings resource supply, production and routes to market into one development framework. Each interface matters to the whole.

01

Woody biomass

The resource base for the planned conversion pathway.

02

Regional SAF node

An integrated facility designed around a repeatable production architecture.

03

Product logistics

Handling and distribution connecting production with aviation-fuel markets.

04

Aviation market

The commercial destination for fuel meeting applicable requirements.

02 / The node

Two trains.
A shared foundation.

Each regional node is designed around a minimum two-train production architecture. The concept brings parallel production trains together with common supporting infrastructure.

03 / Why regional

Fit the place.
Connect the system.

Regional development starts with the relationship between resources, industrial capability and access to market.

01

Woody biomass

Proximity to sustainably sourced woody biomass is a starting point for regional development. Feedstock availability, quality and responsible sourcing require assessment.

02

Practical logistics

Inbound resource movements and outbound fuel distribution need to work together, with transport options assessed for each region.

03

Industrial infrastructure

Utilities, access and supporting industrial infrastructure must fit the requirements of the proposed facility.

04

Regional integration

Workforce capability and regional economic integration are part of developing a facility that can operate within its local industrial community.

05

Aviation-fuel markets

A regional node needs a practical route to aviation-fuel markets through suitable product handling and distribution.

06

Repeatable development

A common architecture provides a basis for replication, while each region requires its own resource, infrastructure and market assessment.

04 / From node to platform

One architecture.
Broader application.

A repeatable regional node can form a building block for a broader US production network. Common principles connect the platform; local conditions shape each development.
